I was never taught how to take care of myself so I always refused getting a pet out of fear I wouldn’t know what to do. After being able to take care of my self and eventually my gf for the last 2 years I finally have the confidence to raise another living thing so we adopted nova Mae from the shelter yesterday. Wanted to name her Deems but my gf said nope lol
