Sobering thoughts at the Museum of Drugs. The Band of Hope Temperance Movement regularly lectured on the harms of alcohol and the benefits of abstinence. Arthur Houldershaw was a champion of the cause and regularly toured schools and lecture halls in the North of England. The Museum received the entire collection of his amazing diaries and leaflets as a generous donation from his descendants. The collection reveals an industrious and meticulous gentleman who lived and breathed his ambitions for a sober society. Read about his life at www.museumofdrugs.com #abstinence #sobriety
