This trip back home came after 2 1/2 years of isolation and working on my past traumas. I’m happy to say that a part of my inner child is healed. For the past 3 years I’ve lived in resentment and anger for those who hurt me but I realized on this trip that those emotions just hurt me the most. I forgave my abusers, I forgave those who couldn’t protect me as a child and I will not let my past take away from my future anymore. It does get better, I got my family back ❤️
