Its not every day where some garden/mycology tool impresses me or for that matter,, overlaps between the two ..... This one is indeed impressive! The box and unit are pictured in front of one of my pschotropia plantsIts a battery operated mister called the "illu mist" and was just given to me as a gift.I have no shortage of misters at my house for either the garden or for mycology purposes.Over the years, I've tried just about everything out there and I must say this sucker (although pricy at around $50 US) takes the cake! The battery is one of those long vape batteries (1850 or sim?) and is plenty powerful/long lasting .... Holds 2 gallons of water and the battery not only holds up long enough to pump out 2 gallons of water ..... there is no loss of power as battery or water level decreses, it pumps on demand instantly and is simply one of those rare tools of the trade I wish I had many years ago ...... The fine mist is just as fine as some of my quite expensive specialty bronze misting heads sold as options for my commercial sprayer.Highly recommended! 6 out of 5 mushrooms on the Mr Green recommendations scale .... yes its that good! No more pumping for me!The only place I will still use my old misting tools will be in fruiting tubs of specialty/exotic mushrooms where they need moisture but don't respond well to water droplets ..... For these I will still use my extremely.... and I mean extremely fine misting pumps created for commercial cosmetology/hairdressers (sorry, forget the name of this type of hand mister)..... These type of misters produce a mist so ultra fine, you can barely even see it ..... But it can drench substrate faster than a normal mister ...... If you use hand misters for mycological purposes and have never tried out this type of mister ...... you really need to try one of these ultra fine hairdresser/barber/cosmetology misters out! Being hand misters, they normally only hold perhaps a quart of water or less depending upon model ...... They are not your ordinary hand misterJust thought I'd share ..... carry on carrying on ✌
