I'm excited to start the next phase of turning these wings into ceremonial fans. I'll be working with some incredibly talented grandmothers to complete the project and getting an amazing education in bead work as well as other ceremonial teachings. When they are completed I'll be gifting them to the person who helped me get on the path, my dear friend and shaman. He had asked me several years ago to keep my eyes out for a fallen turkey vulture for him. It will be an honor to know that they will be used in ceremonies and in healing of others. I'll definitely share the finished work with you all before I present them to him when he visits next month.
