Every atom in this universe has light within.Quantum physics has shown that light exhibits what is known as wave particle duality. It is simultaneously wave and particle. When observed the wave form collapses into a particle. Particles of light are known as photons, waves of light are known as rays or radiation. Light comes in many forms, we are most familiar with visible light, but radio waves, microwaves, x-rays, infrared (heat), and ultraviolet are all forms of light. Humans can typically see light waves with wavelengths between 380nm and 750nm.This 370nm wide range of wavelengths is a tiny sliver of the electromagnetic spectrum which spans from gamma rays less than 100 picometers (pm) (A picometer is one-trillionth of a meter) all the way up to radio waves that can have wavelengths over a kilometer. All energy in the form of light travels at the speed of light (c). Something fascinating about Einstein's theory of relativity is that time passes at different rates depending on the velocity. The closer you get to the speed of light, the slower time goes for you, compared to everything else. The implication is that light speed essentially stops time, so light is essentially not bound by time. Everything happens instantly in one infinite moment from the perspective of light. It's only in the slow physical world we perceive light taking time to travel lightyears from distant stars to us. From the perspective of those photons, they are emitted from the stars shining them and hitting our distant planet in the same instant. I love science!I love the universe!I love the light!Yours Truly, Dream Thoth.
