I wanna say I read the tree takes something like 5-7 years before you would wanna harvest any roots

Growing psychotria and harvesting leaves to extract from may be a more efficient way towards self sufficiency

Depending on where you live they can grow wild and from what i have seen you can harvest a few roots and not kill the tree. Not sure how long they take to fully mature though.
