Idk if this will help anyone else but something that has helped me lately is realizing that a very important key to my happiness is to take joy from the simple things in life, such as the sound/sight of the breeze going through the trees, or such as the sound of the creek rushing after a hard rain, or even something more ordinary like eating food and nourishing myself. I feel that if I can take joy from these simple things, then I don’t really need to rely on anything else to fill that void in my life, whether that be a type of drug or anything else that I would need to seek out. I have been practicing this way of life for a couple days now and I feel way more centered and at peace than usual.
