Planning my paddling in camping trip and getting some supplies together. I started looking for "canoe barrels" for packing food so it can be hung high up in the trees, essential when camping in bear territory. First picture is from Amazon, over 100.00. Found a recycler close by who had 60L plastic barrels. He had the exact same ones from Amazon but I liked these terracotta ones better. His were 20.00 a piece. His yard was acres full of plastic barrels, buckets and drums. I'd much rather pay less to repurpose something than pay more for someone brand new.

CHIEFBIGBEAR they do float. Water tight. I might grab a few more to load up some other gear we don't want to get wet. Being round they lay nicely in the canoe. Yeah man thats exactly what i was thinking. A canoe trip with these. The shape is very ideal. Going to keep this product in mind for future adventures up norf.
