We had been practicing for a week on dry land. Today was our first time getting Chase in the canoe on the water. It started off a bit sketchy. We thought we were going to dump it so we stuck to the shoreline at first. Once he proved he understood he wasn't to get up or reposition himself we headed for open water. He did absolutely amazing for his first paddle. My wife and I are planning a paddle in camping trip in Algonquin Park in September. Looks like Chase will be coming too.
