We truly live in times just saturated within the mentality of surrendering to victimhood simply to relieve us of the responsibilities of our own thoughts, actions and inactions that ultimately form our saddness/happiness. Its so much easier and comforting to point out the speck within anothers eye .... than to deal with the plank in our own. Carl Jung can go into great detail about such concepts ..... But, I know I can often struggle just trying to keep up with following such profound ideas originating from such extraordinary minds ...... I suppose to greatly oversimplify and even project a bit ....... When the darkness, evil and unfairness in the world outrages us so much, perhaps its really us recognizing the potentials of those same things within ourselves? And its much easier and more comforting to pretend the real origins of such things are external and not internal? Do we not condemn the atrocities our governments commit, then dutifully pay our taxes which is exactly what enables them to do such things? After all, passive cooperation is still cooperation. Many here likely recognize the power of psychedelics to heal. The damage we try to heal is often perceived to manifest externally....yet the healing is to be found internally. Perhaps the problem isnt "others" but is really the potentials of darkness within all of humanity? Maybe such darkness gains enough power to manifest precisely due to the rejection of any possibility that we ourselves hold that same potential? Much philosophy contains these same concepts of though but approached from differing angles..... Even scripture places great emphasis on this very topic. Im not sure where this actually originated from ... but ... Humanity contains potentials of great darkness.... but to be human is to recognize the power of redemption and seek it out. Im a great admirer and proponent of non-violent resistance through non-cooperation. I personally feel the great teachers of our times whom expounded, practiced and promoted these concepts like Gandhi and Dr. King are the great prophets of our time ..... and were ultimately killed precisely because they were instrumental in pointing the only way out of our mess. Im certainly not the best explainer of such concepts ..... but if such thoughts do actually interest anyone, I greatly encourage them to research such things themselves. Any real answers or solutions will not be found through leaders, "saviors" nor figureheads ...... the answers will not come externally but from within and everyone's path there can and will be different .... which contains great beauty and truth all in itself. Truthfully ..... we can't directly confront the many evils and conspiracies of power that exist individually .... The only true power any individual holds is to confront these same concepts within ourselves. Perhaps once enough folks can admit, come to terms with and wrestle with these things within themselves ..... it will create the type of group immunity that will make society more resistant to such things manifesting, spreading and growing throughout the world in the first place? I'm admittingly a dreamer and contemplator .... but very often this is the territory where those most obviously simple, yet profound ideas can originate from that hold the most potentials likely leading to change. To attempt to "prove" anything (outside of hard science and criminal proceedings)..... is to admit to the weakness of the argument itself and the shaky ground its likely built upon.
