Yes they are, I still have my book from when I was a child....passed it to my kids.....we have several children's books that I held on to because I too found value in them especially as an adult.

Amazing book. My mom would read the french edition to me as a child, “Max et le Maximonstres”. Very fond memories attached to this book.
