TOTALLY NORMAL. I wish it weren't so, but this is a reality. Even in the greater hemp community we all wish it weren't so. There's one main reason why - harvesting sooner. You must harvest the hemp flower quickly after it is established so that you meet the .3% THC requirement. The longer you let the flower mature the more THC content it contains, and this is restricted by legal guidelines. The hemp flower must be harvested before it reaches full maturity, and thus it tends to smoke more harsh. That peppery feeling is a fact of life with most current legal hemp flower requirements. None of the growers intended or want this. This is not their fault nor their problem. You can register your complaints with your local, regional, and federal governments - depending on your locale.2) SeedsMost hemp is grown outdoors. Seeds are a fact of life with outdoor bud. Want indoor bud? Be prepared to pay the price - indoor controlled hemp can cost as much or more than medical cannabis. And even then, it's not typically as controlled and cultivated as indoor cannabis. While some growers are making great strides, our community is still in its infancy. We have a lot of room to grow, so to speak!
