Great book about the use of psychedelics in our western religions for centuries. Professional research, filled with good illustrations and facts.

He presents a good case for pagan Christian continuity but the evidence for a psychedelic paleo-Christian Eucharist is pretty scant

So, as the status bar states: "What's on your mind?"
Here's another one to ponder on and discuss.
A few religions and practices mention reincarnation, and meditation and reaching inwardly to reach state... View More

Ive been toying around with the idea of reincarnation recently. As an "ex-atheist" (only saying that because i once believed there was no other conciousness except what is tangible in this 3d space, but still believe that "God" doesn't exsist in quite the way the most religious texts describe, and o... View More

Meanwhile, as most folks are losing their minds, I find in this dmtworld space so much beauty and sanity. The time-space we are sharing here and now is perfect and the future is going to be better my friends. Don't trust me. You know it.

Strict laws dont reduce violence, in fact the places with the strictest laws have the most violence. Not taking a stand one way or the other, just stating the facts as I understand them.

But I would say that the whole "either you're part of the problem or part of the solution" assertion is incredibly simplistic, there is way too much nuance involved...rather, I would assert that everyone needs to open their minds and hearts to other perspectives and accept them...without acceptance... View More

Thoughts:
Humans are the most evil species on this planet.
Animals kill for instinct, survival. And although that can be seen as evil, it is part of the ecological balance. Yin and Yang. Balance of Nat... View More

Djinn2112 Chimpanzees, our closest relative, kill and terrorize one another because of culture? So, if I start a new chimpanzee tribe from unenculturated brood, chimpanzee brutality will end?

Traditionalistic “Evil” is a construct. Except for a handful of cases primates dont “murder” members of their own troop. Conflict. Aggression. Its part of all species and is hard wired as a survival mechanism exactly as the original post pointed out. Im saying that cultural determinants acount for t... View More

Djinn2112 since a large number cultures evolved in isolation you would expect that they would exhibit different behavioral characteristics, which they do not, minor differences in style but essentially the same. With regard to primates, their social structures are built on violence. Of course it on... View More

Evil is a word we prescribe to anything we decide to place in a point if judgement. Its laziness to label anything simply as evil without the empathy to understand if we were in that circumstance we ourselves wouldnt be the same.

I had a very similar experience the other month on 4-aco-dmt. I ended up breaking the glass on multiple paintings and my stove. I ran down the street and lost my journal. I almost seriously hurt my self as I was barefoot & walking on shattered glass. I was so lucky that I didn’t seriously fuck up my... View More

I even saw myself addressing the Athenian Senate; I made a speech about how to raise youglings so they would be as well adjusted as possible. I was a Senator and I loved every second of it! I still remember it vividly.
